What's Included

The full subscription includes all three of our training tracks (Classic, Compete and Minimalist), access to our app and community chat, and video review and coaching from our certified coaches. Only need the Minimalist Track? It's available on its own for $9 a month.

Every session comes with 500 to 1,000 words of coach's notes: what the workout is for, what it should feel like, how to pace it. Master's prescriptions and modification notes are written into every workout, not bolted on afterwards.

Our training is constantly varied while providing structured progressions that rely on varied principles to maximize transfer of skill. We program interval work, task priority, time priority, and unique formats frequently to keep athletes progressing — without feeling boring and stale.

Classic runs 45 to 75 minutes, five days a week, and includes Master's prescriptions, modification notes and video review.

Compete is six training days a week, four training pieces a day, periodized around the CrossFit Open and Games season.

Minimalist is one training piece a day, five days a week, written around a pair of dumbbells, a jump rope, a box and a pull-up bar.

Sentinel Training is better than other online programs because we train constantly varied functional movements at high intensity in a manner that actually gets you fitter, while coaching your movement to ensure you maximize your training.

Sentinel is written by trainers who coach on an affiliate floor every day, at CrossFit Charlotte. No other program coaches like us. No other program trains on the cutting edge like us.

Programming Questions (season, scaling, injury)

The Classic and Compete tracks are programmed with the assumption that athletes have access to most equipment commonly used in CrossFit-style training. However, these tracks include equipment substitutes for most of our workouts to accommodate as many athletes as possible.

The Minimalist Track only uses a pair of dumbbells, a jump rope, a box and a pull-up bar.

Yes. Sentinel is written to be joined at any moment, allowing for fast acclimation and maximum adaptation from day one. You do not need to wait for a new cycle.

Outside the Open we program in four-week training blocks with a one-week back-off. This lets us cover a wide array of movement patterns and variations while developing a strong foundation in strength and skills leading into the season.

Then we phase off the structured progressions and enter a competition style of training, where we continue building strength in a varied manner to ensure we touch all components of fitness leading into the unknown and unknowable of competition.

If you're injured we offer movement modifications on almost every workout, giving common alternatives for general ailments or limitations.

We offer the most comprehensive scaling options and modifications available to ensure every athlete nails the stimulus of each training session — leading to longevity and actual increases in fitness.

Coaching & Video Review

Send a video of the movement you'd like feedback on to our Instagram page and we respond, usually within 24 hours, with coaching and correction to make meaningful and lasting improvements to your movement. Athletes without Instagram can use the Strivee 1:1 messenger.

There's no cap on it and no extra charge. This is what real training looks like.

No. We coach full time — this includes you.

No, but Instagram is our preferred method of interaction — the app offers a robust messenger where sending and viewing video is fast and reliable. Athletes without Instagram can use the Strivee 1:1 messenger.

Master's Athletes

Yes. Sentinel is for you. We offer Master's prescriptions for every training piece because we know the needs of an aging athlete differ by degree, not kind.

We have coached a plethora of Masters CrossFit Games athletes over the last several years while coaching 80+ athletes daily in our affiliate.

These are loading, volume and skill adjustments based on age group for every training piece that requires an adjustment. Many don't, such as the strength and lifting sessions.

They make every workout we write specific to your age cohort and how it is expected to perform — using top-level athletes as the benchmark on Compete and the Open as the benchmark on Classic.

Subscription & Billing

For $29 a month you get all three programs (Classic, Compete and Minimalist) and access to the best CrossFit trainers in the world to actually help you get fitter.

You can pay monthly, every six months, or annually, and the longer terms cost less per month. Every full subscription starts with a 14-day free trial, so you can train the program before you pay for it.

Only need the Minimalist Track? You can subscribe to it on its own for $9 a month, with a 7-day free trial.

Yes. The monthly subscription has no contract and no minimum term, so you can cancel from your account whenever you want. The 6-month and annual plans run to the end of their term.

Step-by-step instructions on canceling your subscription.

Strivee will automatically retry your payment method. If you need to update your card, follow these instructions. Once updated, Strivee will automatically run your new card.

Yes. The full subscription renews when your 14-day free trial ends. The Minimalist Track renews when its 7-day free trial ends.

What Our Members Say

More than a program. A community.

A new beginning for life-long training can start on the affiliate floor. Sentinel is the program that meets athletes there.

15/10. Great group, which makes training fun. Overall programming is well thought out and challenges across all domains. Turns out you don't need to hammer Oly and single modalities to get better at them.

Tommy Voelkel

About 10 days in and there's excellent variation between time domains, weight and modalities. I used to skip out on a ton of stuff doing my own programming — even something as simple as DB thrusters instead of barbell thrusters every time makes a difference.

Aidan Paynter

Being 50, I really keep a close eye on programming — especially the warmup and cooldowns. I was never hurt or too beat up. I can see your personality in the programming, which is really cool when you think about it.

Chris B. Biesterfeld

Between following your programming and working with Hannah, I've been able to drop 21 lbs so far. You and your programming have been a big part of my lifestyle change.

Chris Luke

Between the Games and seeing your programming every day, I'm getting the itch to compete again. I think what you're producing is some of the best programming I've ever seen.

Logan Mayfield

I enjoy the WHY behind each piece and where it fits in the larger training cycle — intended stimulus, time frame, all of it. And you've put everything on ONE page. Other companies make it way too complicated.

Cassie Puhl

I love how detailed the instructions are, I love how hard the workouts are, and I love how awesome the community is. Every day is well written and easy to follow. I genuinely feel like I'm 1–2 years ahead of where I would have been if I just kept trying to do my own thing.

Brandon Bott

I love your programming so far and the workouts are sweaty and fun.

Markus Buchsteiner

I'm the most confident I've ever been in all areas. The accessory work is very, very thought out and intentional.

Sean F. Voelkel

I've been at CrossFit since 2008 and been around the block a bit. I'm challenged up to and way beyond my fitness levels. It's excellent and very well thought out, and I'm feeling much better in all areas since starting with you.

Craig

I've been at this over 15 years, including coaching and competing as high as Regionals. Workouts aren't too complicated to set up in my small garage, and everything fits inside 60 minutes without rushing. Great scaling options, and the stimulus in the notes is a bonus.

Mike LeBlanc

I've been trying out your program and loving it. Some seriously good stuff.

Dan Campbell Jr

I've followed my own programming for over 10 years. The programming, the details, the intent, the personal aspect — all of it has made me a better CrossFit athlete at the age of 37 than I was at 27.

Jeremy

Just over a week on the program and I just want to say it's class. I had more variety in the last week than I did in the last eight months.

Pa Whelan

New to this program but already enjoying it more than my last one. That Thursday conditioning WOD was spicy — it convinced me to switch.

Neil Douglas

Thanks! Loving the program!

Cias Hawkins

The metcons are way higher intensity. I feel way stronger than I did 2–3 months ago.

TK Training

The program is awesome. I want to make it to Quarterfinals — Semis someday.

Juan José Romo

These 'Notes' sections and all the different components therein are truly better than not only every other online programming I've tried — it's better coaching and education than I've found in boxes in person, and I've been doing CrossFit since late 2015.

Matt Stryjewski

This first week has been great. I love the way you outline the workouts. I'll be continuing my subscription after the two-week trial and will use your programming to prep for the Open.

Raymond Ciria

With our infant it is the perfect amount. The stimulus, warm up, and notes are very helpful.

CJ Baird

You don't realize good programming until you've consistently done not good programming. This is second to none — it hits so many different movements and skills that I didn't even touch on those other programs.

Austin Rovito

You program so many of those Games elements on a weekly basis, and I definitely wouldn't get that doing class WODs only — the strict gymnastics work, the kettlebell work. You really know your stuff.
